Computer Frustration Specialist.  You can smile at this self-selected title, but there is more truth to it than meets the funny bone.  After 22 years of work at HP, I gained first hand experience of the birth and growth of the personal computer into the ubiquitous appliance it has become today.  I had to dink with code to get the cursed things to do what I needed.  I had to take them apart and put them back together.  I was dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century keeping them free of viruses and trying to save work before they crashed.  To top it all off, I wasn't even working on computers at the time.  I was a technical writer!  I needed to do all that just to do my other job - write books about test and measurement instruments.  I became an unwilling expert at computer frustration.  I know what you're going through.

The answer to frustration is control.  Whether you take control by calling me to fix the problem, or learn while I am there how to fix the problem yourself, you take control and the frustration diminishes.  Your computer becomes more a tool you use and less a necessary evil you wish you could avoid.

Your time is precious.  Call me if your computer is slow or dead.  Call me if you have a new computer and you want to keep it running.   Call me if you want to learn what you need to know so you can get off your computer and get on with your life.
